How does Roxi work?
Roxi, by Undercurrent Technologies Corp., is a marketplace where party/event hosts are connected to hospitality-industry workers. Roxi allows hosts to create a party ("Soirée"), set a date/time, choose the type of workers, and choose people to work Soirées. Roxi manages the relationship between the host and worker and facilitates payment. Both host/worker provide feedback to each other. Roxi collects a % of each transaction.

 

What is a Soirée?
In the world of Roxi a Soirée is a party or event. You, as a Host, can create a Soirée and hire workers ("Talent") to work for you there.

 

What is Talent?
Talent is what we call our workers in Roxi. Talent work roles such as Cocktail Bartender, Waiter, etc. in Soirées.

 

What kind of workers are available to me?
Roxi offers a variety of workers called "Talent" to our Hosts. Hers is a list of Talent you can select for your Soirées:

 

How do I create a Soirée?
Creating a Soirée is easy on Roxi. Simply open the Host app and you will see a button that says "Create a Soirée".

After touching that button, you will be prompted to set a date and title of your Soirée, tell us how long it will be, identify the location of your Soirée, pick the kind of Talent you want to work, and launch it!

You can always adjust or edit the numbers of workers, length and other items even after your Soirée is live!

Once your Soirée is launched and live, you can start hand-picking the people you want to work.

 

How do I pick the Talent I want?
Once you create a Soirée you will be able to hand-pick the Talent you would like to work for you. We match Talent to the roles you request for your Soirée. It's easy. You can send a request to the Talent and if they are interested in working, we will let you know.

To find out more details about each Talent worker, simply touch the panel by their name.

If you are interested in them, touch the gold check mark (see picture below).

 

When do Talent start replying to my Soirée?
As soon as you make your Soirée public by "throwing" it, then Talent will be able to make requests to work for you. You can also make requests for them to work for you. We will show you available Talent as soon as you throw your Soirée.

 

Do you verify the identities of Talent workers?
Yes. Every Talent worker on Roxi must have their identity checked before they are allowed to work. We verify Talent workers with their government-issued ID.

 

What does Roxi cost?
Roxi is free to download and setup your Soirée. Once you throw a Soirée and workers are scheduled to work, we charge your credit card for the fees associated with the worker rates. Roxi takes a percentage of the total rate. The rate you see in your Soirée Summary screen includes our percentage. Roxi will send payment directly to the worker after the Soirée is completed. You do not need to handle payment to the Talent workers directly.

 

When am I charged for my Soirée?
Once your Soirée is live and workers are scheduled to work, you will be charged between 1-24 hours prior to the start of your Soirée. After the Soirée is over, we calculate the actual time that the workers worked and will refund any differences calculated from when you created the Soirée.

 

Do I have to tip the Talent workers?
Roxi offers an all-inclusive price. Talent workers are not expecting the Host to tip. Tips are up to your discretion and can be given to reward excellent performance if you desire.

 

How many workers should I get for my Soirée?
We recommend to have 1 bartender or cocktail bartender per 25 guests. If you are serving food, 1 waiter is also recommended. 1 clean-up worker will help Hosts who have guests ranging from 10-40 people.

 

What is the difference between a Cocktail Bartender and a Bartender?
There are several noteworthy differences between a Cocktail Bartender and a Bartender on Roxi.

A Cocktail Bartender will bring their own equipment, such as mixer, muddlers, measuring cups and strainers. They will not bring alcohol. Cocktail Bartenders will know how to make specialty cocktails with the ingredients on hand and can make a wide variety of standard cocktails and specialty-hand-crafted cocktails.

A Bartender will only serve beer and wine, and can make basic cocktails. Bartenders will not craft specialized drinks like a Cocktail Bartender will.

 

What will Cocktail Bartenders bring to my Soirée?
Cocktail Bartenders may bring the following items: Cocktail Bartenders will NOT bring the following items:
Please note that Bartenders will not be required to bring the items above. Only Cocktail Bartenders are expected to do so.

 

Do I need to provide food and drinks?
Roxi Talent workers will not bring food or drinks. If you want food or drinks or both, that is your responsibility.

 

Can I talk to staff before my Soirée?
This feature is coming soon.

 

How do I cancel a Soirée?
You can cancel a Soirée by contacting us directly at support@roxiapp.com. We will release the cancel function from within the Host app in November 2018.

 

Is the address where my Soirée is located kept private?
The address of the Soirée is kept private until 2 hours before the Soirée starts. We will reveal the address only to the workers scheduled to work. It is kept private for all other users.
